Pre-Conference Workshop

Rex Miller is a renowned coach, researcher, and practitioner with over 40 years of experience in architecture, construction, and organizational consulting. He has a proven track record of driving change and progress for global organizations and industries through his consulting firm, MindShift. He has been a keynote speaker at more than 200 events and has coached and trained over 17,000 people using the CliftonStrengths assessment. He has worked for and partnered with Haworth for over twenty years. Rex is a recognized expert in Integrated Project Delivery and pre-fabricated architectural products. He has won several awards for his work, including the CoreNet Global Innovator Award, the Industry Excellence Award, and the IFMA's Distinguished Author award.

Rex has worked for an owner and in sales leadership for Haworth, Kimball, HNI, two Herman Miller dealers, and a Haworth dealer. He created the first evergreen business development process, SWARM, Smart Work, and Referral Marketing.

Courtney received her MBA and BBA in Marketing from Texas A&M University. She served as part of the adjunct faculty at the SMU Cox School of Business, and is the President of the National Speakers Association North Texas.

As a wife, mom, and frequent flyer, her idea of a good Friday night is TexMex and a glass of wine while watching true crime in her PJs. (Dateline is her favorite!)

was named to the 2009 Thinkers50 Rising Star list. On August 13, 2009, Bruce was honored to accept Toastmasters International’s most prestigious honor, the Golden Gavel.

Bruce is a lifelong practitioner of Okinawan Uechi Ryu Karate Do and holds a seventh degree black belt, making him a Kyoshi master in that style. He lives in New Haven, CT with his wife Debby Applegate, Ph.D., who won the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for Biography for her book The Most Famous Man in America: The Biography of Henry Ward Beecher (Doubleday, 2006). Her new book, Madam: The Biography of Polly Adler, Icon of the Jazz Age, is available now from Doubleday.
